Just making note of a few things:
- I am currently taking esthetic commissions. However, slots for the rest of the year are filling up, so if you'd like more info, please email me ( kittykattoes@gmail.com )
- If you have contacted me about a spot but we haven't set a date and/or you have not made a deposit to hold a spot, please contact me again so that no one gets lost in the shuffle.
- If you have contacted me about a spot but have decided you won't be using it, please follow up with me about that too. I promise, I am not offended in the least, but would like to know so I can move someone else up/ not bother you with any more questions.
- I have decided to limit the number of Calavera commissions I take in a year. I think that will make them a bit more exciting for me and for their owners. I'll have more info about that on the site soon, but I will not be taking any more Calavera commission until 2010.
- I am slooowly working on clothing. I will have things up in the shop this year. That's definite, I just can't promise it will be a lot because I have decided to only sell pre-made items.
More updates soon! In the meantime, I update my Flickr regularly with my current commissions. And feel free to join our group to add your own pictures.
Here's a bit of what I've been up to:
Hope you are all well! xoxo

There's a Melancholy Kitties interview up on Doll-Lite! If you haven't been to the site before, check it out. (There's an LJ Feed!) It's a great read, Mercy does an amazing job on it.
More news soon!!!

I got a netbook! That means I am suddenly able to both keep up with toddling Toby and matters online, so I'm hoping that this is my triumphant return! Or something like it!
Anyway, I do want everyone to know that I am currently taking face up commissions and the wait list is so short its pretty much nonexistent. Also, I actually do have a few things to put up in the shop and I'm going to do that soon. It might be just a trickle, but the new plan is to only sell pre-made items, so I think it will be worth it. Thanks for the continued support, I'm hoping to dust our corners and make this place a bit more dynamic starting now.
Watch this space!!
xoxo Kat

Hey, so a sweet customer gave me the idea to start a Flickr group.
And I did!
If you're on Flickr and would like to join and/or add your photos of our stuff, that would be super swell!
Thanks!

Hello from the void!
Okay, so we're back! Toby was born last August and is cute and great and the site went down last year and now its back all shiny and great and I'm ready to start catching up. Unfortunately, with the server crash, we lost ALL of our customer and product info, so I'll be updating the shop a bit soon, but we're definitely not ready to start selling clothing just yet. I am taking face up commissions and I'm thinking of adding some Blythe customizations to our services offered, so if you have questions about either of those, feel free to ask.
In the meantime, it would be a HUGE help to us if you'd re- register on the site and sign up for our newsletter if you did in the past or if you'd just like to keep up with what's happening. Also, if you'd like your site on our link page or would like to link to us, please comment or email -- that page needs serious updating.
Otherwise, thanks so much for the encouragement and the inquiries we've gotten in the past year! Here's a bit of Toby... ^_^

So, Melancholy Kitties is in print!! We're featured an interview in the Autumn 2008 issue of Fashion Doll Quarterly! There's a lovely article about us in the BJD Files which was lots of fun to do and I heartily thank everyone involved. (The rest of the issue is pretty great as well...)
I wish we had the shop open to celebrate, but I promise we'll get to that soon! In the meantime, we've been sprucing up the site a bit, adding to the galleries and sweeping up the cobwebs, so have a look around and be sure to sign up for our newsletter (register, then check the box to receive it) if you'd like to know as soon as we are open!

I can't believe so much time has passed since we've been in full shop mode and wow, I'm sorry for that, but I have been getting occasional questions so I just wanted to stop and make a note of the fact that we have definitely not closed shop! With the baby coming, we've had to rearrange the house and move the studio and we're just settling back in -- just in time to wait the last few weeks for his arrival. :) I have been working on some things and the current hope is to have lots of things up for sale before Halloween.
As usual, The best way to hear about updates is to register with the site and sign up for our newsletter.
Until then thanks so much for all of the well wishes and continued interest in our stuff! I promise we have surprises in store!
xoxoxo, Kat

Happy New Year!
Mat and I are starting ours out with big news -- we're expecting a new baby in August. :) Because of that, I am unfortunately going to stop taking painting commissions for an indeterminate amount of time to reduce my exposure to MSC and resin dust. So, no commissions this year, sorry! The good news is that with my schedule free of that, I will be spending more time sewing and I do plan on getting to that very very soon.
I hope all is well with everyone and your holidays were merry.
See you soon!!
xoxo, Kat
